About Dr. Emily Kirk

Dr. Emily Kirk joined Shiloh Animal Hospital in 2022 after relocating to the Triangle for her husband’s job. Dr. Kirk sought a hospital with an uncompromising commitment to high-quality medicine and the Fear Free initiative- both of which she found at Shiloh! She is thrilled to be among such a passionate and caring company.

Dr. Kirk is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Arkansas, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University in 2014. An externship during her fourth year of school brought her to North Carolina where she practiced outside of the Charlotte area for seven years before moving to Raleigh.

Dermatology, Internal medicine, and diagnostic ultrasound are among Dr. Kirk’s chief interests. She strives to make each patient feel as comfortable as possible with his or her visit. She is certified in Fear Free and Low Stress Handling (Silver) techniques. Outside of the hospital, she can be found hitting the trails with her husband, Dylan, daughter Sedona, and son Declan. She also enjoys reading, sewing, and exploring local restaurants and breweries.

What Our Clients Are Saying

I was extremely nervous about taking our new puppy, Scarlet, in for her first wellness check. When I opened the door at Shiloh Animal Hospital and was welcomed with such kind faces, it was like a breath of fresh air. From the receptionists, to the amazing Janine, and to Dr. Kirk. It was all so splendid and therapeutic for her. Thank you guys… especially you Janine!!

I recently moved to NC from FL where my pets had a team of Drs I adored. Having worked in the vet field myself I am very picky as to where I take my pets for their vet care so I was so nervous when I moved and had to find new vets for them. I was so lucky to stumble upon Shiloh Animal Hospital. My 3 dogs have seen Dr. Kirk and Dr. Zimmerman. They have both been amazing, not to mention the receptionists and nurses are always so sweet and helpful. I love that they offer both holistic and traditional medicine options. I feel lucky to have found such a great clinic!
