Megan

Veterinary Assistant

Megan joined the Shiloh team in Spring of 2023 and has loved every second! She was born and raised in the one and only Durham, North Carolina. From a very young age, Megan had to be active and play some type of sport. Everything from basketball, soccer, softball, to swimming year round. Magic happened in 7th grade when she gave volleyball a go. Since that moment, she knew that was her sport. Megan played school and travel volleyball for 7 years, ultimately landing her a full-ride to play at Radford University. Unfortunately, a month before her freshman year she sustained an injury that was ultimately career ending. After a few years studying Special Education in college, she decided to take a step back to re-evaluate what life looks like without playing volleyball. She returned home to Durham and started to look for a job ASAP. Other than sports and staying active, Megan is most passionate about animals and their care. She has never NOT owned at least 1 dog and 1 cat – isn’t sure what a household looks like without them. She got a job working in the kennels at a local veterinary clinic, and 5 years later she worked her way up to be a Veterinary Nurse and has never looked back. In her spare time she also coaches travel volleyball for ages 13 and up.
