About Dr. Alesha Diniz

Dr. Alesha Diniz recently moved to the Triangle from the United Kingdom after graduating from veterinary school and working at a small GP practice in northern Scotland. Originally from the USA, she has spent time living in England, Scotland, Fiji, and Australia. Her first career was as a marine mammal trainer in California, and though it was later in life that she decided she wanted to pursue veterinary medicine, her world has always included being around or working with animals.

Dr. Diniz’s clinical interests include senior pet care, chronic disease management, and surgery. She is passionate about Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, and studies veterinary acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in her spare time to be able to offer additional modalities for her patients. One of her greatest professional joys is working in partnership with her clients to find the optimal approach of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for their fur babies.

At the end of the day, Dr. Diniz comes home to her partner and two moggy cats, Shaw and Cornelius. When not at Shiloh Animal Hospital, she’s likely to be found reading a book (with at least one cat on her lap!), at the archery range, or attempting experimental recipes in the kitchen.
